Oddly, this record's pulverizing grooves make me think of a hardcore version of Dying Fetus' "Destroy the Opposition". The songs are finely tuned for maximum pit destruction, rotating through a beautiful array of drum beats, with the core one being a stumpy polka beat that just screams "circle pit". The Siouxsie & the Banshees cover is both surprisingly faithful and surprisingly not out of place. I hope the band explores that melodic direction a bit more.

Really impressive here. I like Mike McKenzie. His solo doom project, Stomach Earth, and The Red Chord (who will never be forgotten) have always left me itching for more music from him. So, I was delighted to see this supergroup form. And, the output is just as good as I had hoped.
